January 18, 2011 – Salah Hamza, Director of Quality for SOFCON is recognized as a member of Emerald Who’s Who for Executives and Professionals Inc. for his extensive experience, leadership and dedication.

Retaining a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Khartoum (1986) (1995), as well as an M.Sc. in Total Quality and Performance Management from the University of Bradford (2006), Mr. Salah A. Hamza has recently been promoted to Director of Quality for A. Al-Saihati, A. Fattani and O. Al-Othman Consulting Engineering Company (SOFCON) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Previously employed as a Project Manager for Saudi Aramco projects in Al Othman Consultants (1998-2000), as well as a Project Manager in road, agricultural schemes and geomatics engineering in Sudan, he has been employed with SOFCON since 2001.  Upon his initiation with SOFCON, he has since developed a successful practice in the quality management area, with an expertise on oil and gas project management and engineering.  Some of the most noteworthy projects on which Mr. Salah Hamza has worked include the engineering and design of the Saudi Aramco Khurais Development Project, Saudi Aramco Karan Gas Development Project, Manifa Crude Program Front End Engineering & Development, and Ras Tanura Integrated Petrochemical and Refining Project.

At the initiation of his professional career in 1986, Mr. Salah Hamza’s original goal was to become a university professor.  As a lecturer, he was part of the Engineering Faculty at the University of Khartoum and at the University of Al Zaiem Al Azhari. In parallel to his academic career, he also pursued engineering and project management in which he advanced and caused his academic goals to diminish. 

A leader among his staff, Mr. Hamza retains responsibility in assisting his project teams and works one-to-one with them to identify and develop opportunities for quality, productivity and performance improvement.
