Being remembered when meeting a contact

Describe what you do as vividly as possible. When people are able to get a clear visualization of it in their minds it makes it easier for them to refer your services to others. Sometimes studying yourself in the mirror also helps. It is good to know what your body language is implying. Your body language should always be positive and inviting. Be sure to have perfect posture, good diction while speaking and remember to smile. Being prepared is important. Have a brief description ready to present to people who may need/want your services. Always have something to say, perhaps a few interesting stories relating to your field or a few key points about what you have to offer. Engage in conversation but be sure not to say too much, listen to what others have to say without interrupting and do not speak on topics you are not familiar with. Remember the names of people you have met and use their names while speaking to them. It gives a good impression to the person your networking with to know you remembered their name.
